The answer is YES and there is a large and growing body of evidence that homeopathy works well and safely in a variety of medical conditions. There have been over 120 RCTs (randomised double-blind placebo controlled trials) of homeopathic treatment in many diseases, acute and chronic, published in respected peer-reviewed medical journals, and over 70% of the trials are positive showing that homeopathy works. Four of the 5 independent met-analyses of all homeopathic RCTs agree that homeopathy has a positive effect greater than placebo and greater than the effect of the consultation.
Further detailed information on Homeopathic Research and the results of trials and clinical
audit are avaliable from the Faculty Website www.facultyofhomeopathy.org.
The Faculty of Homeopathy was incorporated by Act of Parliament in 1950 to regulate the training
and practice of doctors in homeopathy and there are 4 NHS funded Homeopathic Hospitals in the UK.
The Government recently spent £24 Million to refurbish the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital
in Great Ormond Street.
A clinical audit of all Dr Raymond Sevar's patients treated since 1993 shows that 66% are significantly improved by homeopathic treatment and that once this improvement begins it continues, and 32% are able to stop or substantially reduce their conventional drugs.
